Turmush continues to share stories of Kyrgyzstani people who study, work, and live abroad. This time, we will talk about Jumabekova Azhara Edilbekovna, who is currently undergoing professional training in Germany.

Azhara, born on March 21, 2008, in Karakol, completed her education at secondary school No. 1, demonstrating independence and responsibility from an early age. Being the eldest in the family, she has always supported her mother and cared for her younger sisters. “I am the oldest child, and after me, there are two more sisters. This made me responsible early on, and in my free time, I tried to help my mom and younger ones,” she shares.

Since the first grade, Azhara studied in a class with an in-depth study of the German language, which became possible thanks to a talented teacher who helped build a solid language foundation.

“In middle and high school, I actively prepared for language exams, made presentations, and participated in educational projects. At the beginning of the 11th grade, I took the German language exam while simultaneously preparing for the ORT. At that moment, I didn’t know where I would continue my education — in Kyrgyzstan or abroad. Despite my fears and doubts, I believed that I could get accepted abroad,” she recalls.

Ultimately, her dream came true. “I got accepted in Germany for the Ausbildung program in the specialty of ‘Konditorin’ and began professional training,” Azhara says.

Now the girl has been in Germany for four months. Adapting to the new conditions has not been easy: the new culture, language, mentality, and strict bureaucracy required significant effort from her. Currently, Azhara lives in the suburbs of Regensburg. “It’s very beautiful here: the architecture and nature are impressive, and the people are kind. We also had to learn to sort waste, which is an important part of life here. I am gradually getting used to it, and now I feel more confident,” she says.

One of the most pleasant aspects of life in Germany for Azhara has been the opportunity to travel. The developed transportation system makes it easy to visit different cities. “I have been to several cities, and each trip left unforgettable impressions,” she shares.

Azhara continues to study and gain practical experience. “I haven’t decided yet what I want to do in the future, but I strive to develop, gain new knowledge and skills, and realize myself in the professional field,” she concludes.
