Turmush continues to introduce Kyrgyzstani people who have found themselves beyond their homeland. 23-year-old Rozhazhasmin Kashimbekova from Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region, shared her story of adaptation in the USA.

In a conversation with a Turmush correspondent, Rozhazhasmin noted that her life path has always been linked to hard work and the pursuit of achievements. She studied diligently in her homeland and graduated with honors from the Kyrgyz State Aviation Institute named after I. Abdrayimov, earning a degree in transport security (control).

“This was a huge pride for me and strengthened my belief in myself,” she shared.

After obtaining her diploma, Rozhazhasmin worked at the airport, where she enjoyed her job and gained life experience. Life seemed stable, but soon fate offered her a completely different path.

One of the most significant events in her life was meeting her husband, Turkish Mehmet Emin Kush, who grew up in Germany. Their paths crossed in Antalya, where they communicated for a month, meeting five times, after which Rozhazhasmin decided to marry him. “I felt that he was my person, and from that moment a new chapter began,” she recounted about the start of their life together, based on mutual respect and love.

After the wedding, the couple decided to move to the USA, which radically changed their lives.

In America, Rozhazhasmin had to start everything from scratch: learning the language, mastering new laws, and adapting to a different environment. The first steps were not easy, but, according to her, these challenges made her stronger. She currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas, and runs an online store.

“The USA is a land of opportunities,” she stated, adding that the locals are open and friendly, ready to help. They treat people from different cultures with respect.

In her opinion, Kyrgyzstan is the homeland of kind and hospitable people. “Although the standard of living and opportunities here are lower, sincerity, unity, and willingness to help make it unique. There is no place warmer than home,” she noted.

Rozhazhasmin is also impressed by the level of technology, city infrastructure, transportation, and quality of education in the USA. “The freedom of thought and the ability to express oneself openly are particularly felt here,” she added.

She emphasized that it was in the USA where she became a mother, opened an international online store, learned the language, made new acquaintances, and gained valuable life experience. This has been a significant achievement for her and a marker of personal growth.

“I faced many challenges. Far from my loved ones, and the distance only intensified the feeling of loneliness. Cultural differences and a new way of life complicated language learning, but all these difficulties taught me to be patient and kind,” she shared.

Despite the small number of Kyrgyz people in the USA, Rozhazhasmin maintains contact with them and helps when possible.

In her free time, she is passionate about reading, striving to develop and expand her business. “My goals are to develop and expand my business, learn new languages, understand cultures more deeply, continue personal growth, and happily spend time with my family,” she concluded.
