The regional news publication Turmush continues the "Жеңеке" series. In it, we share stories from the lives of young brides and experienced daughters-in-law.

The goal of the project is to remind about the importance of family values, to reveal the beauty and talents of married women. Aidina Payazova from Batken shared her story of marrying a Dungan young man.

Aidina was born in the Kadamjai district of Batken region in 2005. She currently lives in the village of Aleksandrovka in the Moscow district of Chui region. She is engaged in commodity business and supplies goods from China. She graduated from the International University of Innovative Technologies (MIUT) with a degree in linguistics, with knowledge of the English language.

According to her, her husband Islam was born in 2005 and is originally from the village of Aleksandrovka in the Sokuluk district. "We met at the 'Dordoi' market when I was buying goods. Our relationship lasted three months. When I was in China, he helped me a lot with the Chinese language and expressed his love by sending gifts through Chinese people. I really liked his attitude and highly appreciated his determination, strong commitment to religion, and respectful attitude towards women. At first, there were many objections. Even after our wedding, my relatives couldn't accept my choice for several days, and we went through many trials. There were no objections from my husband’s side," Aidina says.

According to the girl, when she first got married, the food, language, and traditions were all unusual, and it was difficult to get used to. "There were moments when I cried at night and laughed during the day because of these differences. Their conversations among themselves were very interesting, and they still are, even though I don’t understand their language. One funny incident that stuck with me – I had never eaten a beef tail in my life and didn’t even know it was edible. When I first saw how they prepare and eat beef tail, I was surprised, but now I’m used to it," Aidina shares.

She likes Dungan traditions: "At any celebration, men and women sit in different rooms, and during holidays, there are fewer excesses."

In her free time, Aidina searches for goods in China and takes various courses to develop psychologically and morally. "In the future, God willing, my husband and I want to open a charitable foundation to be helpful to people, as well as improve cooperation with China and develop the commodity business," she reported.
