Zharkynai Myrzaeva, a resident of the village of Örükzar in the Kadamjai district of the Batken region, successfully earns a living by growing flowers. She primarily focuses on chrysanthemums of various varieties, which she sells to ensure the financial well-being of her family.

According to Zharkynai, she usually purchases flower seedlings from other regions of Kyrgyzstan and even from Uzbekistan. "This season we planted about 600 seedlings. Work begins early in the spring, and now it's time for sales. Buyers come even from the Jalal-Abad and Osh regions and the Leilek district. Last year we worked with only two varieties, but this year we have many types. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that flowers can bring in a good income," she shared.
Chrysanthemums grow on a small garden plot and require regular watering. Among the varieties she cultivates, one can find white, yellow, pink, red, and burgundy chrysanthemums. Currently, the price for one chrysanthemum ranges from 250 to 350 soms.
