








In Bishkek, children have the opportunity to spend their time productively: free clubs have been opened in every district of the capital. This information was announced by representatives of the city administration.
Sverdlovsky District
The Children's Creativity Center in the Sverdlovsky District is actively working to develop creative, intellectual, and technical skills among children and adolescents.
The main building of the Center is located at 109 Jumabek Street. There are also branches and clubs at the following addresses: 100 Yaltinskaya Street, 77 Alamedin-1 Microdistrict, 1/3 Mambetova Street, and 424 Almatinskaya Street.
The Center offers a variety of clubs, including early development studios "Pochemuchka" and "Bilgim Kelet", a language studio "East&West English", a chess club "Akyllman", and a "Mental Arithmetic" program, as well as computer literacy training.
An important aspect of the work is the preservation and popularization of national culture. The Center has dance ensembles such as "Kauhar", "Jaz", "Kyialkech", "Taazhy", as well as a folklore ensemble "Azem", a komuz group "Üch Kyl", an oral komuz group "Keremet", and studios for decorative and applied arts: "BiserOk", "Volshebnuy Klubok", "Cheber Koldor", "Aykelchi", "Cheber Darkan".
There are also programs for technical and modern creativity, including "Murasher" (modeling), "Polet" (aeromodelling), "312 ArtHouse" (visual arts), vocals, guitar "Altyn Kyl", a stage speech studio "Süylö ART", acting "Kaarman", and a youth group "Manas".
Oktyabrsky District
The Children's Creativity Center of the Oktyabrsky District "Shayir Balalyk" organizes systematic additional education for children and adolescents.
In the CDT "Shayir Balalyk" and its branches, 70 clubs are functioning.
The main building of the Center is located at 14/1 Microdistrict 3. Clubs such as "Tunguch", "Erudite", "Nadezhda", "Etude", "Masterok", "Aruna", as well as clubs based in 7 general education schools in the Oktyabrsky District are also actively working.
The activities cover several areas:
— artistic and aesthetic (fine arts, decorative and applied creativity, design, vocals, dance, acting);
— physical culture and sports (chess, wushu, tennis, boxing, kickboxing, judo, yoga);
— technical creativity (aeromodelling, robotics, digital design);
— social and intellectual development (logic, conversational English, polyglot, expressive reading, "know yourself", and other areas).
Classes are held both in the main building of the Center and in the Tunguch, Kok-Zhar, Asanbay microdistricts, as well as at the bases of schools No. 100, No. 88, No. 60, No. 3, No. 64, No. 73, and No. 103.
Leninsky District
The Children's Creativity Center of the Leninsky District offers comprehensive development for children and adolescents.
The institution is located at 130 Bakayev Street and includes the "Yrys" club (111 Sh. Rustaveli Street). Training is provided free of charge in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
In the CDT, there are clubs of various directions: artistic and aesthetic, musical and stage, technical, sports, and intellectual development. Children can engage in decorative and applied creativity, choreography, vocals, playing the komuz, television journalism, digital technologies, aeromodelling, as well as various sports and national martial arts.
Additionally, the Center's clubs operate at the bases of schools in the Leninsky District. In total, 48 clubs are functioning, with more than 2,100 children participating.
Also, within the framework of the municipal institution "Station of Young Technicians", accessible additional education is provided for children and adolescents in the capital.
The Station of Young Technicians has been one of the leading centers for technical and creative development of youth for 37 years. Currently, 1,988 children are enrolled in the institution's clubs, 18% of whom are from socially vulnerable groups. The educational process is supported by 45 qualified teachers.
Training is conducted in six main areas: technical (robotics, IT, aviation and automotive modelling), artistic and aesthetic, intellectual development, musical and stage, sports, and tourism and local history.
Due to the start of construction of a new modern 4-story building at 144 Lev Tolstoy Street, the educational process is temporarily organized at the bases of 12 general education schools in the Leninsky District. The completion of the new building, with an area of over 2,500 sq. m, is expected in the IV quarter of 2026. The new building will be equipped with modern IT classrooms, robotics laboratories, 3D printers, laser machines, and an observatory, which will allow the number of participants to increase to 2,500 children.
From 2024 to 2026, the SYT plans to introduce new areas: additional groups in robotics will be opened, jewelry making will be developed, and the ethnic direction "Örnök" aimed at reviving national values will be implemented.
First of May District
The First of May Children's Creativity Center offers additional education for children.
The main building of the Center is located at 21 T. Moldov Street, and a club operates at 104 Bokonbaev Street.
Currently, 46 clubs are actively working in the Center, some of which are organized at the bases of educational institutions in the district.
The work is conducted in the following areas:
— decorative and applied and technical creativity (bead weaving, appliqué, origami, working with felt, visual arts, robotics);
— musical and stage direction (komuz, vocals, folklore);
— musical-aesthetic and sports (folk and modern dances, theatrical art, artistic reading, stage speech, volleyball);
— intellectual and social development (English language, programming, media, "Manas studies", chess, youth associations).
