At the 74th "Miss Universe" competition held in Thailand, Fatima Bosh from Mexico was crowned as the winner, according to media reports.
According to official data, the titles of vice-miss were distributed as follows: 1st runner-up — Pravenar Singh from Thailand, 2nd — Stephanie Abasali from Venezuela, 3rd — Ahtisa Manalo from the Philippines, and 4th — Olivia Yase from Côte d'Ivoire.
The finale of the event was marred by a series of scandals. One of the judges, Omar Harfush, resigned, accusing the organizers of having the 30 finalists selected by a secret jury in advance. These allegations sparked widespread public outcry and criticism of the organizers. In response, they denied these claims, stating that all procedures adhered to established rules.
The focus shifted to a conflict between Fatima Bosh and the competition organizer Navat Icharagrisil. Other participants showed their support for Bosh by leaving the hall in solidarity.
Additionally, there was an incident involving the representative from Jamaica, who fell off the stage during the evening gown parade and was taken away by a medical worker.
It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan was represented at the "Miss Universe" competition by Mary Kuvakova. She impressed the audience with her national costume in gold and bronze tones, featuring large feathers and decorative elements.
