
The famous Hollywood actor left behind many memorable roles
Kerry-Hiroyuki Tagawa, known for his role as Shang Tsung in the cult film "Mortal Kombat" (1995), passed away on December 4, 2025, at his home in Santa Barbara. The cause of death was complications following a stroke. His famous line "Your soul is mine!" has attained cult status, as reported by "ZTB media".
This role, however, is just a small part of his extensive filmography. Other notable works include: Admiral Minoru Genda in "Pearl Harbor" (2001), Lord Tagomi in "The Man in the High Castle," Kuroda in "Planet of the Apes" (2001), as well as Eddie Sakamura in "Rising Sun" and "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" (2008).
Tagawa was born in Japan in 1950 and later emigrated to the United States. He was also widely known in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
