The actor was born on June 3, 1938, in Moscow and dreamed of becoming an actor from an early age. During his school years, he attended a club at the House of Pioneers, where he was taught by Nikolai Bazhenov.
At the Moscow Art Theatre, where Shilovsky worked for three decades, it was said of him: "He truly loved the MAT, was attached to the great actors of the theater, and proved himself as an actor and director."
On the MAT stage, he directed plays such as "For Every Wise Man, There is Enough Simplicity," "The Sweet-Voiced Bird of Youth," "We'll Count Our Own People," "Rebellion," "Volokolamsk Highway," and "Quietly Rehearsing Tolstoy."
Shilovsky's cinematic career began with a small role as a passenger in Vasily Pronin's drama "Our Home" (1965). According to "Kinopoisk," the actor appeared in about 115 films and directed 16 works.
Among his films, notable titles include "Niccolò Paganini," "Military Field Romance," "Torpedo Bombers," "Speed," "Voice," "Appeal," "The Favorite Woman of Mechanic Gavrilov," "Interdevochka," "Once Upon a Time There Lived an Old Woman," and the series "Kamenskaya." His directorial works include "The Chosen One of Fate" and "Rebellion."
In 1980, Vsevolod Shilovsky was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and in 1986, he received the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR, as specified on the "Kino-theater.ru" portal.
