Farewell to Yuri Nikolaev in Moscow

On November 8, a funeral and farewell ceremony for popular television host Yuri Nikolaev took place at the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow, as reported by Russian media, including RIA Novosti.

Yuri Nikolaev passed away on November 4 at the age of 77. He was seen off on his final journey by family, friends, colleagues, and fans who gathered in the Large Mourning Hall of the cemetery. Among those present were well-known artists and television hosts, including Igor Nikolaev and Elena Malysheva.

In a sign of condolence, wreaths were sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the team of Channel One, the State Kremlin Palace, the Academy of Russian Television, the group "Lyube," and Yuri's close ones.

Yuri Nikolaev was born on December 16, 1948, in Chișinău. He completed his studies at GITIS, obtaining a degree in "theater and film actor." From 1970 to 1975, he worked at the Pushkin Theater, and from 1973, he began his television career. His programs "Morning Mail," "Morning Star," "Heritage of the Republic," and "In Our Time" brought him widespread fame.
