Actor Roman Popov, who starred in "Policeman from Rublyovka," has died.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, the actor had been battling a serious illness for a long time. In August, he shared news about a recurrence of brain cancer, which had been diagnosed seven years ago. Roman reported that he had almost completely lost his sight and needed constant support from his loved ones. In September, he began undergoing a course of chemotherapy.

Roman Popov became widely known for his role as the good-natured investigator Mukich in the series "Police Officer from Rublyovka." He also appeared in projects such as "Mukich's Detective Agency," "Girls Can Be Different," "President's Holidays," "Love During Non-Working Weeks," "Boomerang," and "Kill the Boss."


Roman is survived by his wife and three children. His colleagues and fans remember him as a vibrant comedian with a wonderful sense of humor and energy.
