- In Odesa, a high-rise building was damaged by shelling, with at least five people injured.
- In Novorossiysk, eight people were injured following an attack by Ukrainian drones. Six apartment buildings and two private homes were damaged.
- In Belgorod region, one man was killed as a result of a drone attack, as reported by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
- On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus, where they discussed the situation in the Middle East and the conflict in Ukraine.
- In an interview with the Associated Press, Zelensky expressed the opinion that the ongoing war in the Middle East could weaken U.S. support for Ukraine. He also voiced concerns about supplies for Patriot systems used to intercept Russian missiles, noting that Ukraine has no alternatives.
- As a result of Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk region, one person was killed and another was injured. Two local residents were hurt by a drone strike in Kharkiv.
- On the night of April 5, Nizhny Novgorod region was attacked by Ukrainian drones. Governor Gleb Nikitin reported that 30 drones were shot down over the Kstovsky district. Debris caused fires at two facilities of the "Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez" enterprise, and several residential buildings and summer cottages were also damaged, leaving some residents without electricity.
- Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán reported the discovery of explosives on Serbian territory near the TurkStream gas pipeline, through which Russian gas flows to Hungary.
- Official Kyiv denied accusations from Hungarian authorities regarding Ukraine's involvement in an attempt to blow up the gas pipeline. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgiy Tikhiy stated that this could be a Russian operation aimed at destabilizing the situation ahead of parliamentary elections in Serbia.
- Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin stated that Russia is prepared to take retaliatory measures in the event that British military detains tankers of the Russian shadow fleet.
