Two Earthquakes Recorded in Kyrgyzstan by the Seismology Institute

On December 8, two earthquakes occurred in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences.

The first earthquake, registered at 20:15, had a magnitude of 4 and took place in the Batken region.

The epicenter was located 12 kilometers northeast of the village of Ravat and 17 kilometers from the villages of Leilek, Uch-Debe, and Ak-Tatyr, as well as 48 kilometers southwest of the city of Batken.

In the village of Ravat, the intensity of the tremors was about 3.5 points, while in the villages of Leilek, Uch-Debe, and Ak-Tatyr it was 3 points.

The second earthquake occurred at 3:07 and had a magnitude of 3.

The epicenter was in the area of the Kara-Too ridge, 8 kilometers south of the village of Dostuk and 18 kilometers northwest of the village of Ak-Zhar, as well as 20 kilometers northwest of the district center At-Bash and 32 kilometers southwest of Naryn.

The intensity of the second earthquake in the village of Dostuk was 2.5 points.
