
Vince Zampella, a well-known video game developer who created hits like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty, has passed away in California. This sad news was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.
Zampella died as a result of a traffic accident on the Angeles Crest Highway in Southern California when his Ferrari 296 GTS veered off the road and collided with a concrete barrier, after which it caught fire. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and could not escape, while a passenger who managed to get out through the windshield died in the hospital.
Vince Zampella was one of the founders of Infinity Ward, under whose leadership Call of Duty gained worldwide fame. Later, he founded Respawn Entertainment, which released games such as Titanfall and Apex Legends. In 2025, under his leadership, Battlefield 6 was released.
