In the USA, the creator of Call of Duty and Apex Legends has died

In recent years, Vince Zampella held the position of head of Battlefield Studios

With sad news, NBC4 reported: Vince Zampella, co-founder of such well-known studios as Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment, has passed away in the USA. According to preliminary information, he became a victim of a car accident in Southern California. As a result of the incident, his vehicle veered off the road and collided with a concrete barrier. Vince was trapped in the burning car and, unfortunately, did not survive. The passenger in the vehicle was ejected and later died in the hospital.

Since his appointment, Vince Zampella had been leading Battlefield Studios, overseeing all Electronic Arts projects related to the popular Battlefield shooter series. His death occurred just a few weeks after the release of Battlefield 6.

Zampella is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the world of video games. Early in his career, he was involved in the creation of the Call of Duty series, which is the main competitor to Battlefield, and later worked on games such as Titanfall and Apex Legends.
