According to preliminary data, the patient sought medical assistance, and soon her condition sharply deteriorated. As a result, she was transferred to intensive care, where she died a few days later. Unfortunately, her unborn child also perished along with her.
Talant Abdrashitov, the chief physician of the Batken Regional Unified Hospital, declined to comment further on the situation.
“I cannot provide information on this case. All data will be available only after the completion of the forensic examination,” he noted.
According to local residents, the funeral for the woman and her unborn baby took place on November 23 in their native village.
The press service of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Department reported the following:
“This incident was registered on November 23 in the electronic journal. The woman was pregnant and had been receiving treatment in the hospital for the last 1-2 months. Unfortunately, her child in the womb also passed away.”
