According to preliminary information, on November 16, a school vehicle fell off a cliff. As a result of the incident, one student died at the scene, while another was hospitalized in serious condition at the Alaï district hospital.
According to data provided to Turmush by the territorial hospital of the Alaï district, the ambulance crew that arrived at the accident site found that one person was already beyond resuscitation. Another teenager, born in 2008, was taken to the hospital with a severe traumatic brain injury and was subsequently transferred to the Osh interregional hospital for further treatment on November 18.
Later, the Traffic Safety Department of the Osh region clarified that the accident occurred on November 16 at around 20:20 in the village of Tash-Koro. The driver, a resident of the village of Budalyk in the Alaï district, A.B., born in 2009, was behind the wheel of a "Toyota Camry 30" traveling from Osh to Gülchö and lost control of the vehicle.
As a result of this maneuver, the car fell off a cliff. A passenger, born in 2008, a resident of the city of Gülchö, A.N., died at the scene of the accident.
Other passengers from Gülchö were also in the vehicle: S.B. (born in 2008), B.A. (born in 2009), and B.A. (born in 2008), who were not injured.
