According to her colleagues, the tragedy occurred on November 9, 2025. At the time of her death, Gulnura was 48 years old and worked in the ophthalmology department of the Naryn Regional Unified Hospital.
Gulnura Maatkerimova was born in 1976 in Naryn. She graduated from school No. 7 named after M. Sydykov, and then from 1994 to 1997, she studied at the Naryn Medical College, where she completed her studies with honors. In 2003, Gulnura received her diploma from the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev in the specialty of "General Medicine" and then from 2003 to 2005, she underwent clinical residency.
She began her professional career at the Naryn District Family Medicine Center, where she worked as an ophthalmologist from 2005 to 2007. Since 2007, Maatkerimova continued her work in the ophthalmology department of the Naryn Regional Unified Hospital.
In 2024, Gulnura was awarded the title of "Honored Worker of Health" by the Ministry of Health [Саламаттык сактоо министрлигинин «Ардактуу кызматкери»].
