Actor and Rector of the Moscow Art Theatre School Igor Zolotovitsky Has Passed Away

We regret to inform you of the death of Igor Zolotovitsky, who passed away at the age of 64. The relevant information has been posted on the official website of the Moscow Art Theatre.

Preliminary data indicate that the actor and teacher's death was caused by an oncological disease, specifically stomach cancer.

Igor Zolotovitsky left a significant mark in the film industry, having appeared in films such as "Taxi Blues" (1990) directed by Pavel Lungin, "Dark Nights in Sochi" (1989) by Vasily Pichul, as well as in the comedy "Faster than Rabbits" (2013) with the theater "Quartet I." Additionally, he could be seen in the series "Turkish March 2," "Kamenskaya 3," and "A Brief Course in a Happy Life."

Since 1989, Zolotovitsky taught students at the Moscow Art Theatre School, and from 2013, he headed this educational institution.
