Yuristanbek Shygaev: The paintings that Dzhangarachieva talks about are authentic and have not gone missing.

The former director of the Museum of Fine Arts refuted the new director's statement about the disappearance of several valuable works.
The paintings of well-known artists that hung in the office of the former director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Yuristanbek Shygaev, are authentic and have not gone missing. He himself informed Vesti.kg about this.
- There were paintings by Soviet contemporary artists in the office; they are authentic and need to be examined, - he said. - No one has removed these works from the museum. I was not informed about their disappearance or the investigation that has been initiated.
Yuristanbek Abdieyevich added that the paintings in question were used to decorate his office.
To clarify, the day before, the new director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Mira Jangarachieva, informed the Kaktus.media agency that the paintings that hung in the office of the previous director, Yuristanbek Shygaev, had gone missing, or rather, they had been replaced with copies.
“In the interest of the investigation, I cannot specify their names. I will say that these are paintings by well-known artists that represented significant value for the museum,” she reported.
Let us remind you that Yuristanbek Shygaev left his position following a scandal involving the paintings.
