In Kyrgyzstan, it is proposed to grant the status of "village" to 10 settlements (list)

In the Kyrgyz Republic, an initiative is being discussed to grant the status of "village" to several settlements.

As part of this proposal, a draft law has been presented that pertains to the classification of certain settlements in the Batken, Osh, and Talas regions as ayil.

The development of this draft is being carried out by the State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The discussion of the draft law will continue until November 21, 2025.

According to the proposed document, the following settlements may be classified as ayil:

1. Bakay, rural district Ak-Sai, Batken district, Batken region

2. Alty-Adyr, rural district Kara-Bak, Batken district, Batken region

3. Orto-Sai, rural district Samarkandek, Batken district, Batken region

4. Alymbek datka, rural district Jany-Alai, Alai district, Osh region

5. Ak-Bosogo, rural district Too-Moyun, Aravan district, Osh region

6. Birimdik, rural district Too-Moyun, Aravan district, Osh region

7. Dostuk, rural district Too-Moyun, Aravan district, Osh region

8. Zhashtyk, rural district Too-Moyun, Aravan district, Osh region

9. Yntymak, rural district Too-Moyun, Aravan district, Osh region

10. Balikchy, rural district Kara-Buura, Aitmatov district, Talas region.

The draft law also includes the approval of boundary descriptions for the established ayils: Bakay, Alty-Adyr, Orto-Sai, Alymbek datka, Ak-Bosogo, Birimdik, Dostuk, Zhashtyk, Yntymak, and Balikchy.
