It is proposed to grant the status of ayil to the following settlements:
- In Batken Region: Bakai of Ak-Sai Ayil District, Alty-Adyr of Kara-Bak Ayil District, and Orto-Sai of Samarkandek Ayil District;
- In Osh Region: Alymbek Datka of Jany-Alaï Ayil District, as well as Ak-Bosogo, Birimdik, Dostuk, Jashtyk, and Yntymak of Too-Moyun Ayil District;
- In Talas Region: Balikchi of Kara-Buura Ayil District.
As noted by the agency, for settlements to be classified as ayil, current legislation requires that at least 50 people reside there, with more than half of them engaged in agriculture or being family members of such workers.
Granting the status of ayil will allow these settlements to become independent territorial units within the respective ayil districts. This, in turn, will give local residents the opportunity to independently address local issues and increase their accountability. They will also be able to register their residence in the new ayil, as noted by the initiative's developers.
The decision-making process regarding the granting of ayil status took place at village meetings and was approved by local councils, as well as district state administrations and representatives of the president in the specified regions.
