Jalal-Abad exported nuts worth 1.5 billion soms: TOP-3 importing countries

In 2022, the Jalal-Abad region exported walnuts worth a total of 1.5 billion soms, reports a representative of the regional chamber of commerce and industry.

According to the agency, the most active buyers were Iran, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Madanbek Karaev, the head of the institution, highlighted six key export goods from the region.

“In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the export of nuts and dried fruits from our region. Uzbekistan accounts for 80% of the total export volume. There is also an increase in purchases from Turkey and Iran. Starting this year, there has been a rise in the supply of frozen fruits such as cherries and strawberries. Currently, there are three logistics centers operating in the region,” noted Karaev.

Among the six main exported goods from the Jalal-Abad region are: walnuts, fuels and lubricants, cotton, yellow stone, dried and frozen fruits, as well as coal,” he added.

Since gaining independence, more than 500,000 enterprises have been registered in the region, which continue their activities.
