On November 23, Akmatbek Mamatkaimov, an alpinist from Kyrgyzstan, reached the summit of Orizaba, which stands at 5,636 meters. This information was confirmed by his relatives, who reported his success to Kaktus.media.

Orizaba, also known as Pico de Orizaba, is an active volcano located in the Cordillera system. Locals refer to it as Sitlaltépetl, which translates from the Aztec language as "mountain of stars".

Previously, Mamatkaimov has conquered the highest peaks on other continents, including Kilimanjaro in Africa, Kosciuszko in Australia, and Denali in North America. He is a member of the "7 Summits Club," an association of climbers aiming to reach the highest points on all continents (in Australia, this includes two peaks).

According to his close ones, Akmatbek's next goal will be Everest — the highest mountain on the planet.
