“Youth groups coming to Gornaya Maevka leave behind bags of trash and other waste right in the mountains. This is our homeland, Kyrgyzstan — one of the most beautiful places on the planet. It saddens me to see how our fellow citizens pollute their own land. I collected some trash in a bag, but unfortunately, I didn’t have more bags, and there is still a lot of waste left in the mountains. It is very sad that we do not appreciate our homeland. Tourists admire the beauty of this place, but at the same time, they are horrified by how we can treat our land this way,” she shares her opinion.
