
The international ITF taekwondo tournament held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) gathered over 1500 athletes from eight countries, including the national team of Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz team consisted of 63 athletes, led by the president of the Federation Nuriisa Mambetalieva and coaches Chingiz Akylbekov, Artem Pribytkov, Sabyr Chubakov, Mamed Majidov, and Bek Kylchbekov. The tournament program included tuls, sparring, verek, special techniques, and team matches.
As a result of the competition, Kyrgyz athletes won medals of all three categories: gold, silver, and bronze. Among the winners were Kim Arthur, Hegai Sofia, Sivko Daniil, Andreeva Elena, Jyrgalbaev Yasiin, and others.
In the overall team standings, the national team of Kyrgyzstan took third place, finishing only behind Uzbekistan and Russia, which confirms the high level of training of Kyrgyz athletes.
