165 Years of Togolok Moldo: His Poems, Fables, and Excerpts from "Manas" Were Recited in Ak-Talaa

In the Naryn region, in Ak-Talaa, the 165th anniversary of the famous manaschy, poet, and fable writer Togolok Moldo was celebrated, as reported by a Turmush correspondent.

Today, as part of the Manas Day celebrations, a scientific and literary event titled "Togolok Moldo — Continuator of the Manaschy Arts" ("Тоголок Молдо манасчылык өнөрдүн улантуучусу") took place, dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of the poet, manaschy, and fable writer Togolok Moldo (Bayimbeta Abdyrahman uulu).

During the event, cultural workers presented small theatrical performances telling the story of Togolok Moldo's childhood, his educational activities, and his creative work. Young manaschy performed excerpts from the epic "Manas," while cultural sector employees read his works. The best entries from an essay competition organized by the library were also announced. In addition, artistic readings of fables and other works by the renowned poet were presented.
