In 2024, the construction of interchange infrastructure is planned in the residential area "Kyrgyzstan," which will not connect to Ch. Aitmatov Avenue. This information was announced at a meeting of the BGK held on December 4.

Deputy Erkinbek Salymbekov reported numerous complaints from residents of the Lenin District, dissatisfied that after the reconstruction of Aitmatov Avenue, the entrances to the residential area were closed. Now people have to take significantly longer routes to reach their homes.

Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev explained that the reconstruction was carried out not by the city hall, but by the Presidential Administration. After the completion of all works, including lighting and landscaping, the road will be handed over to the Bishkek city hall.

A representative of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the city hall stated that the avenue is a major road, and the reconstruction project does not include entrances. Nevertheless, to improve the infrastructure, the construction of nine new streets is planned, as well as the asphalting of roads in "Kyrgyzstan-1." Next year, an interchange will be created within the residential area so that residents do not have to go out to Aitmatov Avenue.

It is worth noting that earlier, residents of "Kyrgyzstan-1" filed a lawsuit against the Bishkek city hall and the contractor "Capital Consult Company," with the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekglavarkhitektura" as a third party. Residents claim that after the reconstruction of Ch. Aitmatov Avenue, safety in the area has deteriorated, as Mostovaya and Garage Streets are blocked by curb blocks, making access to the residential area impossible.
