At the direction of the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, the land use control department is canceling 29 lawsuits concerning land along Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue, located in the residential area of 'Kyrgyzstan-1'. Residents will be offered alternative plots or compensation, as reported by the city hall's press service.
This decision was made to resolve the situation outside of court proceedings and to improve interaction with landowners.
The akim of the Lenin district has been instructed to organize the provision of alternative plots to citizens in the first stage, and in case of refusal, to consider the possibility of compensation based on the cadastral value in accordance with current laws.
The municipal authorities intend to continue working to ensure that all issues related to land use are resolved within the framework of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It is worth noting that the residents of 'Kyrgyzstan-1' faced the loss of part of their land plots due to the expansion of Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue. Initially, fences were demolished for those who did not have documents confirming ownership, and then for those whose documents were in order.
After this, the city hall filed lawsuits to declare the seized plots as illegally acquired. Residents, in turn, also went to court demanding compensation for the loss of their property and repeatedly appealed to the president and the head of the State Committee for National Security with complaints about the actions of the city hall.
