Yerlan Tynymbayuly Karin, the State Advisor of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of further cultural cooperation between the two countries during his address.
Marat Imankulov noted that the literary legacy of Chinghiz Aitmatov is an important connecting link between the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples, adding that the year 2028 will be declared the Year of Chinghiz Aitmatov in Kyrgyzstan.
He also expressed that the musical "Jamilya" is a symbol of the cultural unity of the two nations and thanked both Kyrgyz artists and Kazakh organizers for their efforts.
This musical was created and presented to the Kazakh audience by the team of the Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic.
