The recent parliamentary elections were not without scandals: the Central Election Commission decided to annul the voting results in district No. 13 (Nooken district, Jalal-Abad region) due to violations of the secrecy of the ballot. Mahabat Kozhokeeva, head of the election process organization department, noted that inspections revealed violations at 35 polling stations, where observers had set up cameras to monitor voters. According to preliminary results, Bakyt Sydykov led with 17,397 votes. A total of 14 candidates participated in the elections, and a re-vote is to take place within a month.

The CEC also provided information on the financing of the election campaigns of the participants.
At a meeting with international observers, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, announced plans to implement online voting in the next elections. The head of state emphasized that the digitization of the electoral process is aimed at combating corrupt schemes such as "carousel" voting and the sale of places on party lists. He expressed hope that this would increase voter turnout from 40 to 80 percent; however, online voting will not be applied in the presidential elections scheduled for January 2027.
In 2026, Kyrgyzstan plans to issue 20,000 apartments under the state mortgage program, including more than 4,000 in Bishkek.
With the introduction of a new version of the Land Code in Kyrgyzstan, a unified cadastral plan is being established instead of the traditional red and green books. This is done to unify documents, reduce duplication, and decrease corruption risks. The old books will remain valid until the land plot is alienated, and the new owner will be required to formalize the cadastral plan. A digital format of the document is being implemented through the "Tunduk" system.
