The premiere of the new historical series "Kara-Kyrgyz" will take place on December 27 on the national television channel of Kyrgyzstan and in the online cinema "Etnomedia." The plot of the project is dedicated to important events in the history of the Kyrgyz people.

As reported by the Ministry of Culture, the series covers the period from 1917 to 1924 and tells the story of the Kyrgyz people's fate after the tragic events of the Ürkün, when the country was in a political vacuum and struggled for its national identity. The narrative centers around 16-year-old Jusup Abdrakhmanov, as well as the actions of significant figures such as Abdykadir Orozbekov, Ishehnaly Arabayev, Imanalay Aydarbekov, and Abdykerim Sydykov, who played a key role in the establishment of Kyrgyz statehood.

The series will address key and dramatic moments of the era, including the fall of the Turkestan autonomy, bloody events in Kokand, internal conflicts, and the onset of Soviet repressions. The main themes that the creators focus on are the ideas of national unity, justice, and freedom.

The project was carried out by the production studio "ARNA" with financial support from the state institution "Kyrgyzserial." The first season consists of four episodes.

The director of the series is Suyun Otkeev, and the main producer is Jenishgul Ozbekova.
