On December 2, the secretariat of the World Nomad Games announced the launch of the regional cultural project "Birimdik Kerbeni" in Kyrgyzstan.

This project represents a national water relay that emphasizes the importance of water for the life and culture of the Kyrgyz people, as well as symbolizing unity within the framework of the World Nomad Games.

According to the organizers, water for the Kyrgyz people is a source of life, purity, and continuity. In the context of the Games, it embodies unity and renewal. The project covers all regions of the country, highlighting cultural diversity and strengthening national unity. "Birimdik Kerbeni" engages the population in preparation for the VI World Nomad Games, providing each region with the opportunity to participate in this international event.

Stages of project implementation:

1. Until December 31, 2025, qualifying events are planned across all regions of Kyrgyzstan, based on the results of which the following will be determined:

Regional Baatyrs – representatives from each region of the country;

Elchilers – outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of their regions;

Sacred Springs – the most well-known water bodies in the region, such as lakes, rivers, and springs.

2. In June 2026, the main baatyr (hero) will ascend to the glaciers of Peak Khan-Tengri to fill the main vessel (kökör) of the country with water symbolizing the unity of the Kyrgyz people. After the ceremony, the vessel will be delivered to the central water storage in Bishkek.

From June 2026, there will also be ceremonies to fill regional vessels (kökör) with water from sacred springs, as well as events to honor water. After the ceremonies, the vessels will be placed in regional water storages, which will be accessible to local residents and guests.

3. By August 15, 2026, the baatyrs will deliver the regional vessels (kökör) to Bishkek, where they will be placed in the main water storage, open to the residents and guests of the capital.
