As specified, the action of the play will transport viewers to a world devoid of art, where the main characters confront the harsh realities of survival, knowing neither compassion nor emotions. However, everything changes thanks to one fateful encounter.
“The main idea of the play revolves around the question: 'What is art and where can it be found?'. The characters overcome fear and misunderstanding, discovering new feelings along the way. They encounter both friends and foes, battling hunger and uncertainty. The audience witnesses their struggle and observes the process of creating a new museum,” the press release states.
The directors of the play, Jamiyla Jumakeeva and Elzar Kadyzmatov, emphasize: “Our goal is to remind that man and art are one and the same. Despite any difficulties, there will always be someone who can restore art!”
The exhibition dedicated to the museum's 90th anniversary serves as an important platform for new creators and fresh ideas both on stage and off. Each part of the museum is filled with installations by contemporary artists discussing significant and relevant themes.
