Yesterday, a bright celebration took place in Ala-Too Square in Bishkek — the ceremony of lighting the main Christmas tree of the country, which gathered more than 10,000 participants. This event became one of the largest New Year celebrations of the year.
According to information from the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs, over 1,000 law enforcement officers were involved in maintaining public order at the event. The police operated in an enhanced mode, ensuring safety throughout the celebration area.
