According to the city’s cultural department, the current expenses for decorating the central square, the New Year tree, and the surrounding area amount to about 3 million soms.
“The festive areas are being decorated by the Bishkek company LLC ‘Northern Lights’. We plan to light the New Year tree around December 15, and currently, the work is 90% complete,” the department reports.
In total, about 3 million soms have been spent on the decorations. Currently, active decorative work continues in the square: an ice rink is being created, small houses, trees, and a large LED screen are being installed,” the department added.
