During the visit, the mayor familiarized himself with the operation of the boiler house using propane and instructed the responsible parties to consider the possibility of adapting this technology for other boiler houses in the city, as well as for new construction projects. He emphasized that using propane for heating is not only environmentally safe but also contributes to significant savings in electricity and financial resources.
Currently, boiler house No. 14 provides heating for 10 apartment buildings, a kindergarten, and the building of the Family Doctors Group. According to specialists, last year the boiler house operated on fuel oil and natural gas; the latter was turned off during the winter period due to shortages. The operating costs amounted to about 9 million soms. However, this year, with the transition to propane, it is planned to reduce this amount to 4.5 million soms, which is half the previous cost.
The propane-operated boiler house has become one of the first in Kyrgyzstan. In the future, the implementation of this technology is expected in other regions of the country.
