The goal of this campaign was to restore the names of outstanding women who made significant contributions to the development of Kyrgyz statehood in public and historical memory, but whose stories had long remained unnoticed, as stated in the press release.

Throughout the year, the project team collected and documented 126 stories of women from various eras, digitized family archives, and created a special website where all these stories became accessible to a wide audience. Publications were disseminated both on social media and in partner media outlets.
At the presentation, the results of the campaign and the new website "100 Outstanding Women of Kyrgyzstan" were showcased.
This resource features stories of Kyrgyz women grouped by regions and periods of their active involvement, with search and sorting options for user convenience.
As part of the presentation program, an official opening took place with the participation of representatives from government agencies, female deputies of the new convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh, and international partners. An interactive Kahoot! quiz on the history of the women's movement was also conducted, along with live communication with the organizers, researchers, and project participants.
The organizers emphasized that the collection of stories became not just a research task, but an important step for society to make women's contributions to the country's development more visible and recognized, as well as passed on to future generations.
This event was organized by the Alliance of Women's Legislative Initiatives with the support of the GFA Consulting Group project "Civic Participation for Development," funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
