The State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), organized a round table dedicated to assessing the digital skills of public and municipal employees.

During this event, the results of a study were presented, aimed at determining the current level of digital competencies in this field. The agency reported the beginning of the development of a methodology for assessing these skills.

Key figures participating in the round table included the agency's director, Jantayev Elchibek Nurzhadievich, the regional director of the International Telecommunication Union for the CIS, Natalia Mochu, and the deputy director of the agency, as well as responsible staff from government bodies engaged in personnel and digital development.

E. Jantayev emphasized that the success of digital transformation depends not only on technology but also on the level of digital skills of employees. He noted that systematic development of these skills, the implementation of unified standards, and the creation of conditions for career growth are important aspects of state personnel policy.

This event became part of a program aimed at enhancing digital literacy and training in digital skills for 2025–2026, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' decree on February 14, 2025, No. 75.

During the discussion, round table participants reviewed the study results and proposed ideas for developing the digital skills of employees, as well as ways to promote digital transformation in public administration.
