The Ministry of Justice organized the second interagency meeting dedicated to the incorporation of digital evidence into the country's legislation.

At the event in Bishkek, issues related to the integration of digital evidence into the national legal system were discussed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of various government structures under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Justice Iskender Sydygaliev.

According to the Ministry of Justice, among the participants were Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubayeva, a representative of the Presidential Administration Abdiish Koombaev, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Supreme Court.

Opening the meeting, Iskender Sydygaliev noted that the interaction and coordinated work of government agencies contributed to the transfer of best practices for implementation in the draft of the new law.

The working group's efforts are taking place against the backdrop of active global challenges in the regulation of the digital environment. The proposed measures aim to strengthen the national legal framework and expand the possibilities for obtaining digital evidence while considering human rights,” noted the national advisor of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Bermet Asker.

For reference: according to the order of the Ministry of Justice, an interagency working group was established with the task of developing proposals for the legal recognition of digital evidence.
