From December 27 to 31, an agricultural fair is taking place at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek. On this day, it was visited by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
During his visit, he emphasized the importance of such events in eliminating intermediaries between producers and consumers.
“Dear participants of the fair, on behalf of the Cabinet of Ministers, I congratulate you on the upcoming New Year. Agricultural fairs are held regularly in Bishkek every week. The initiative of Bakyt Torobaev brings significant benefits to both producers and buyers, allowing them to purchase products without intermediaries and at lower prices. Farmers can sell their products below market value, and agricultural enterprises can sell at factory prices. This approach ensures a direct connection between the producer and the consumer, eliminating intermediaries and curbing the rise in prices for essential food products,” noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
In addition, the head of the government pointed out that the prices for meat at the fair do not exceed the established limits. For example, beef is sold for 680 soms per kilogram, and lamb for 690 soms.
He added that such fairs will continue to be held next year. It is also worth noting that similar events are taking place in other regions of the country.
