The series of agricultural fairs continues in Bishkek, attracting both locals and tourists. The fair, located at Turdakun Usubaliev Square, will operate at the end of the year from December 26 to December 31, 2025, offering a wide range of farm products from all corners of the country.
According to Iskak Anarbekov, the curator of the fairs and head of the project implementation sector at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, more than 100 farmers will showcase their products.
There will also be a stage with an open mic at the fair, where participants can showcase their talents: singing, dancing, or sharing interesting stories and lectures.
The curator noted that in addition to the product exhibition, educational programs on healthy eating, sanitation, and agronomy will be organized, as well as lectures on modern technologies in agriculture and the rational use of water resources.
“Our goal is to raise awareness among farmers and create a positive atmosphere. We invite creative groups, ensembles, and representatives of all diasporas, as well as accredited embassies in the Kyrgyz Republic,” added Anarbekov.
The prices at the fair remain affordable, as the products are offered directly from the producers.
Every week, the Ministry of Agriculture monitors prices for essential food products. For example, meat is offered starting from 600 soms, potatoes from 40 soms, and apples from 20 soms per kilogram, depending on the variety and size.
According to Iskak Anarbekov, a special box for charity has been set up in the central part of the fair. Every weekend, buyers and sellers can contribute products to it. At the end of the fair, the organizers prepare plov and distribute it along with the collected products among social institutions.
It is important to note that the fairs are held to monitor prices for socially significant products, as well as to support farmers and local producers.
