In the Kemin district, in the village of Boroldoy, a snow leopard (or irbis) was spotted on December 29 around 23:20 — a rare predator listed in the Red Book.

According to available information, this predator entered the village and climbed a tree, where it remained. To assist the animal, gamekeeper Zh. Chokoev from the Chui regional office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, along with hunter U. Abikanov, quickly arrived and successfully lowered it to the ground in safe conditions.
