A rare predator, the snow leopard (also known as the irbis), listed in the Red Book, was recorded in the village of Boroldoy, located in the Kemin district. This event occurred on December 29 at around 23:20.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, the snow leopard descended from the mountains and climbed a tree in the village. The operational response involved gamekeeper Zh. Chokoev from the Chui region and hunter U. Abikanov, who carefully removed the animal from the tree, ensuring its safety.
