According to information provided by Kaktus.media, the section of Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek, located above Jaiyl Baatyr Avenue (Southern Highway), has been reopened for traffic after a period of reconstruction.

This section was closed during the construction of four underground pedestrian crossings, with work starting on January 1.

Each of the crossings is 33.5 meters long and 4 meters wide. Currently, finishing works are ongoing inside the crossings and the construction of staircases.

The city administration reported that the main work was carried out during the holiday weekends, which helped reduce traffic load and minimize inconvenience for city residents.

Additionally, concrete blocks that restricted access to Abdrahmanov Street at the intersection of Ch. Aitmatov Avenue and Abdrahmanov Street have been removed. Now, the exit from this street to Ch. Aitmatov Avenue is only possible in the right direction.
