The Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan (FTUK) has announced the launch of a discount program for its members, which is already in operation. FTUK Chairman Muradil Jumadilde uulu reported this at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency.
According to Jumadilde uulu, union members who have completed the electronic registration process can receive discount cards that allow them to benefit from discounts at various establishments across the country. Currently, FTUK has signed about 400 agreements with different entrepreneurs who provide benefits for union members.
“This system acts as a bonus. We emphasize labor protection, safety, and wage issues,” noted the FTUK chairman.
He also reminded that the trade union in Kyrgyzstan was founded 120 years ago, and its main demand has always been the introduction of an 8-hour workday and adequate wages. An important event in 2025 was the government's decision to increase daily travel allowances. Previously, the daily allowance was 500 soms for trips to the regions and 600 soms for trips to Bishkek, but now it has been increased to 1,000 soms for the regions and 1,200 soms for the capital.
“Additionally, we aim to raise the minimum wage level. Currently, the minimum pension is about 7,000 soms, and the minimum subsistence level is also close to this amount. We propose that the minimum wage corresponds to the subsistence minimum. The average wage has increased, and we are currently analyzing which professions and sectors need a raise,” added Muradil Jumadilde uulu.
