To build 'Manhattan' in Bishkek, trees will be cut down and buildings demolished

Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev announced plans for the improvement of the coastal area of the canal

As part of the improvement project for the embankment along the BChK in the capital's Alamedin-1 district, local residents reported the upcoming cutting down of trees and demolition of buildings.

Recently, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, held an on-site meeting at several locations in the city, including the area where the embankment along the technical channel of the CHPP and BChK is planned to be developed. A walking area is planned to be created along Auezov Street. Existing buildings, including the café "Jasmin," will be demolished.

During his visit, Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev jokingly referred to this area as the future "Manhattan."

In addition to the improvement of the embankment, the project also includes the construction of new bridges and parking spaces.
