The Ministry of Internal Affairs outlined priorities for 2026: security, cameras, and discipline

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that the digitalization in the internal affairs system continues, and the implementation of video surveillance is aimed at maintaining public order and protecting citizens.

As part of the implementation of President Sadyr Japarov's directive, the "Safe Country" project must be fully completed by the end of 2026. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to install 20,000 video cameras throughout the country. A plan of activities for the year has also been approved, and the heads of internal affairs agencies have been tasked with monitoring its implementation.

In addition, there is a goal to improve the quality of service to citizens, ensure order in receiving the public, respond attentively to appeals, and quickly resolve issues in accordance with the law.

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized the importance of combating corruption, the need for daily explanatory work for personnel, as well as strengthening measures for cybersecurity and countering internet fraud and digital threats.

At the conclusion of the meeting, key tasks were identified aimed at crime prevention, ensuring citizen safety, road safety, protecting minors, preventing domestic violence, and strengthening service discipline among employees.
