
The agenda includes discussions on the results of the Ministry's activities for 2025, the implementation of the "Safe Country" project, as well as issues related to improving the quality of service for citizens and approving key areas of work for law enforcement agencies.
Minister Ulan Niyazbekov, opening the meeting, highlighted the important achievements of 2025 and emphasized the transition of the Ministry to the active use of modern technologies and digital solutions to ensure public safety.
During the discussion, it was noted that the crime rate in the country has significantly decreased, while the detection rate of crimes has increased considerably. Law enforcement agencies ensured a high level of security during more than 120 mass events, preventing serious violations of the law. Additionally, over one hundred modern buildings for the police have been put into operation in the republic, positively impacting the working conditions of the staff.
At the initiative of the president, the transition from the "Safe City" project to the "Safe Country" project continues, the first stage of which started in June 2025. A tourist-ecological battalion equipped with modern equipment and digital technologies was created in the Issyk-Kul region, contributing to a decrease in the crime rate during the tourist season.
The Minister emphasized that the Ministry not only maintains order but also strives to improve the quality of service for citizens. In 2025, about 10,000 crimes were prevented.
The second stage of the "Safe Country" project is scheduled for 2026. As part of this stage, more than 20,000 video cameras will be installed across the country, new digital programs will be implemented, and security in public places and tourist areas will be significantly enhanced.
Ulan Niyazbekov concluded his speech by noting that the Ministry continues to fulfill its assigned tasks and takes effective measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
Adylbek Kasymaliev highlighted the key areas for the further work of the Ministry, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the rule of law and public safety. During the board meeting, he also presented state awards to Ministry employees who distinguished themselves in the performance of their official duties.
