The fire has been completely extinguished, and traffic on the road has been restored.
On January 25, 2026, an incident occurred on the 140th kilometer of the Bishkek–Osh highway in the Jayil district of the Chui region: a fuel tanker transporting petroleum products caught fire. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the agency, a report of the fire was received by emergency services, and at 11:36, one fire truck from the Jayil district fire station No. 22 was dispatched to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished only at 14:44.
Unfortunately, as a result of this incident, two people died. Their identities are currently being established. After the firefighting operations were completed, traffic on the highway was resumed in both directions, and transportation is being conducted without any restrictions.
