Today, December 27, 2025, a new building of the Ak-Suu District Department of the State Committee for National Security for the Issyk-Kul region was opened, as reported by the committee's press service.
High-ranking guests attended the opening ceremony, including the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Chairman of the GKNB Kamchybek Tashiev, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Issyk-Kul region B. Zhetigenov, as well as local authorities, GKNB veterans, and employees of the regional department.
The new office is located on a plot of land of 18 acres, with a total area of 240 square meters. Construction, which began on June 1, 2025, was completed by December using modern and environmentally friendly materials. The building consists of two floors and is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable work.
During his speech, the chairman of the GKNB emphasized that the opening of the new building would be a significant step in improving working conditions for employees and ensuring the country's security.
Additionally, Tashiev noted that all GKNB buildings in the Issyk-Kul region have been renovated, creating favorable working conditions.
At the event, the chairman raised a concerning issue regarding the recent murder of a 47-year-old woman committed by her husband.
He emphasized that all law enforcement agencies must take measures to prevent violence against women and expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of response from law enforcement structures in this case.
"The death of a mother of three occurred due to the inaction of law enforcement officers, security services, and the prosecutor's office. The woman had a protection order, but no measures were taken. We will conduct a thorough investigation and consider the responsibility of the officers. If negligence is found in the future, all guilty parties will be held accountable! It is necessary to actively identify instances of violence and prevent such cases!" stated K. Tashiev.
At the conclusion of the event, the Colonel-General cut the ribbon of the new building of the Ak-Suu District Department of the GKNB and familiarized himself with the conditions created for the employees' work.
